The young Sensational Richard Higher Pongo

     

Richard  Higher Pongo is a young Ghanaian gospel recording artist, songwriter, youth pastor, creative director, conference speaker and youth advocate who has the calling of bringing God’s message of hope, love, peace, transformation and care to humanity as well as being a voice of assurance for the lonely, rejected, lost and forgotten in society through music and social projects.He was born in a small village called Alavanyo Wedidi in the volta region by Esther TseTse and Raphael Pongo, he started his elementary education at Alavnyo E.P primary school and later move to Accra where he complete his basic school at Immaculate Conception Basic school-Akweteman.He then was admitted at the Presbyterian Senior High School-Teshie where he completed senior high school education.He held thechapel prefect  position from basic school to senior high school.
                  Richard discover his God giving talent back in the village where he used to lead the school choir before migrating to continue at Accra. According to him he started singing at age 6. He notice the call of God was upon him so he decided to submit and avail himself for God to use him to minister to the lost to enable them attain salvation..
                  His music life was taken to a higher level when he started backing up Mavis (mentor 4). He later met all the big names in the gospel music industry such as  award winning gospeldiva Gifty Osei, Bernice Ansah, Cecelia Marfo, Obaapa Christy, Obaa Yaa Grace Ashy and Paapa Thompson and many others,this gave him the opportunity to meet a lot of big names in the Ghana showbiz industry and has mounted lots of stages where gospel music is concern.

Richie was a member of Great Fire Pentecostal Ministry headed by Bishop Bonegas where he ministers along Bernice Ansah,ASP Kofi Sarpong,Patience Nyanko and Nicholas Omani Acheamong,where he later move to Mountain Of Deliverance Ministry headed By Snr Apostle Irene Adu Gyamfi where he met Mr Gameli, C.E.O of Joseph African Recording Studio who was marveled at the mufti-talent he has and decided to manager and produce his first Single"HIGHER".The song which is dubbed to be release soon is a very powerful contemporary gospel worship which talks about the greatness of God..the song feature one of the most powerful vocalist and worship warrior in the country Bro.Gimmy,he is currently the founder and president of Ghana Gospel Revolution Movement.
